He was concerned about only one thing, PAIN. The entire discussion went only on pain. He had visited us 8 months back, however he had the courage to undergo the treatment only now. We had treated his father who is 80+ with multiple implants, that gave him enough confidence for the procedure.

We gave him the anaesthesia, I prefer 4% articaine as it has a deeper anaesthesia compared to lignocaine, ensuring better patient comfort. After anaesthesia, I placed 2 One-piece compressive implants of 3.7 D & 10mm length in the lower left molar region. We had adequate M-D space to accommodate 2 implants. It is essential to have 2 implants supporting the molar crown to avoid the cantilevers & have better force distribution, just like the natural teeth. A single drill flapless technique was used to place the implants. We got a good 70Ncm insertion torque with both the implants. Post placement, we took the scan of the implants to process the digital crowns. The entire process was comfortable for the patient, who was very worried in the beginning. Now he was waiting for the anaesthesia to wear down & was expecting pain later at night.

Next day, in the morning, we gave the provisional tooth to the patient. This helps the patients be comfortable by protecting the implant site, protecting the tongue & restoring the function of the tooth. The patient said, "I haven’t taken the medicine, because I didn’t need to". Wow.

On the 3rd day a Ceramic crown was placed & the bite checked with the help of T-Scan, which helps us fine tune the bite of patient for comfort & longevity. We fixed the crown with Type 1 GIC. Here is the video of him sharing his experience of Pain Free Implants.

Many patients are afraid of the dental implant procedure, thinking that there will be lot of cutting, drilling involved, bleeding would be there etc. This happens because of the you tube videos, which do an excellent job of scaring people. However, because of TD24 concept, we can finish the process in a quick, simple & long lasting.
